These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Alternative Eco Solutions (“we”, “our”, “us”). By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Us

Alternative Eco Solutions is a UK-based renewable energy company specialising in the design, supply, and installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and related energy solutions for residential and commercial clients. Since our establishment in 2020, we have completed over 4,000 installations across the United Kingdom.

2. Quotations & Acceptance

• All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
• A contract is formed once the customer accepts our written quotation and any required deposit is received.
• We reserve the right to withdraw or amend a quotation before acceptance.

3. Surveys & Installation

• All installations are subject to a technical survey to confirm suitability.
• If site conditions differ from those originally declared, we may revise the quotation accordingly.
• Installation timelines are estimates and may vary due to weather, supplier delays, grid approvals, or circumstances beyond our control.
• The customer must ensure safe and unobstructed access to the property on installation day.

4. Payment Terms

• Payment terms will be clearly stated in your quotation or contract.
• A deposit may be required prior to ordering materials.
• The remaining balance is typically due upon completion of installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Late payments may result in delays to certification or system handover.

5. Cancellations & Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer contracting at a distance or off-premises, you may have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

If work has commenced within the cooling-off period at your request, you may be liable for reasonable costs incurred up to the date of cancellation.

6. Warranties & Guarantees

• Solar panels and inverters are covered by manufacturer warranties.
• Workmanship is covered under our installation guarantee, as specified in your contract.
• Warranty claims are subject to manufacturer terms and conditions.

7. Performance Estimates

Energy generation estimates are based on industry-standard modelling software and historical data. Actual performance may vary depending on weather conditions, shading, system maintenance, and usage patterns. We do not guarantee specific financial savings.

8. Grid Connection & Permissions

Where required, installations are subject to approval from your local Distribution Network Operator (DNO). Planning permission may be required in certain cases (e.g., listed buildings or conservation areas). It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us of any known restrictions.

9. Liability

• We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the contract value of the installation.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, supply chain disruption, government restrictions, or power network delays.

11. Website Use

• Content on our website is provided for general information only.
• We reserve the right to update website content without notice.
• Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.

12. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is handled.

13. Complaints

If you have a complaint, please contact us in writing so we can investigate and resolve the matter promptly.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
